Cold2Pdf is
a powerful
new
application
for
processing
print spool
files and
other COLD/ERM
outputs for
archiving.
Spool files
are prepared
for printing
many
thousands of
documents
(invoices,
statements,
management
accounts,
etc) from a
variety of
systems.
Whilst this
is perfect
for printing
onto e.g.
prepared
stationery,
the format
is not ideal
for
archiving,
as it is
time-consuming
to find
specific
documents
when
required.
The
application
operates by
dividing
each spool
file into
individual
documents,
formatting
them with a
print
overlay – so
that they
look like
the original
printed
document,
and
extracting
index
information
– for
subsequent
search and
retrieval.
The output
is suitable
for
importing
into any
document
management
or archiving
application.
A series of
PDF files
(one for
each
document)
and an index
file (XML or
CSV) with
full index
information
for each
document is
provided, in
a format
which can
them be
imported
into a
repository.
Cold2Pdf is
suitable for
use with
windream,
as well as
virtually
all other
document
repositories.
Capable of
processing
millions of
pages per
day, Cold2Pdf
is available
in different
versions to
meet specific
needs.
